Understand the Detailed View for Body Metrics

When you want to explore a specific body metric beyond the daily number, you can tap on it from the Wellness dashboard. This action opens a detailed view, providing a comprehensive analysis of the metric with historical data, trends, and your personalized ranges.

Navigating the Detailed Metric View

Tapping on any metric, such as Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, or Wrist Temperature, will open a dedicated card with an in-depth breakdown. While each metric is unique, the layout of the detailed view is consistent.

Here’s what you can find on the detailed view card:

  • Current Reading and Daily Insight: At the top, you’ll see the most recent measurement for that metric, along with a brief, contextual insight about that reading (e.g., "Sleeping heart rate stayed within your normal range.").
  • Historical Trend Chart: A line graph visualizes your data over a selected period. You can tap the arrows to navigate back and forth in time or change the view from a 7-day period to a longer range.
  • Overview Cards: Below the chart, you'll find cards summarizing the Average, Max, and Min values for the selected time frame.
  • Range Distribution: This section uses colored bar graphs to show the percentage of time and number of days your metric fell into different zones (e.g., Normal, Elevated, Low).
  • Your Personalized Values: Tap this section to expand it. It reveals a slider showing your Typical Value and Normal Range, which are calculated from your data over the last 60 days. You will also find an Alerts section that defines the specific thresholds for high or low readings.
  • About the Metric: At the bottom, you can expand this section to learn more about what the metric is, why it's important, and what can influence it.

Tips for Using This Section

Your "Normal Range" is dynamic and recalculates based on your most recent 60 days of data. This means the app adapts to your body's changes over time, ensuring your baselines and insights remain relevant and personalized.

Summary

The detailed view for Body Metrics transforms a single daily reading into a rich, analytical dashboard. By providing historical trends, personalized ranges, and educational context all in one place, this feature empowers you to understand the nuances of your well-being and recognize meaningful changes in your body's data over time.
