This information is found in the Short-term Overview section, located within your daily sleep analysis screen. Use this view to understand how your habits and routines impact your sleep quality over weeks.
Understanding the Short-term Overview
After navigating to your daily sleep details, scroll down and tap on the Short-term Overview section to expand it. This view is organized into three distinct tabs that provide different perspectives on your sleep history.
Duration Tab
The Duration tab focuses on how much sleep you are getting each night. It helps you see if you're consistently meeting your sleep goals or if your sleep duration is highly variable.
- Avg. Sleep Duration: Your average amount of sleep per night over the displayed period.
- Duration Variability: Measures how much your sleep duration changes from night to night. A lower variability indicates a more consistent sleep schedule.
- Bar Chart: Each bar represents a single night's sleep duration, allowing you to quickly compare it against your average and optimal sleep duration lines.
Consistency Tab
The Consistency tab tracks the regularity of your sleep schedule, showing when you fall asleep and wake up. A consistent sleep schedule can significantly improve sleep quality.
- Avg. Fall Asleep: The average time you went to bed over the period.
- Fall Asleep Variability: Measures how much your bedtime fluctuates. A lower number here points to a more stable routine.
- Bar Chart: This chart visualizes your sleep window for each night, with bars indicating the time you fell asleep and woke up.
Stages Tab
The Stages tab provides an overview of how much time you spend in each sleep stage (Awake, REM, Core, and Deep) over time. This helps you understand the quality and restorative nature of your sleep.
- Avg. Awake Time: Your average time spent awake after initially falling asleep.
- Avg. Restorative Sleep: The combined average of your REM and Deep sleep stages, which are crucial for physical and mental recovery.
- Bar Chart: Each bar is a breakdown of a single night, showing the proportion of time spent in each sleep stage.
