The Cardio Fitness analysis provides a detailed look at your VO2 Max, a key measure of your cardiovascular health. You can access this section directly from the Cardio Fitness tile on your main Wellness dashboard. Use this screen to track your long-term trends and understand how your body uses oxygen during exercise.
The main screen displays a graph of your Cardio Fitness trend, with the default view set to 12 Months. This gives you an immediate overview of your recent progress. You can also tap on different year tabs, such as 2024, 2023, or 2022, to review your historical performance and see how your fitness has evolved over longer periods.

For a deeper explanation of what your numbers mean, tap the info icon in the top-right corner of the screen. This opens the About Cardio Fitness page, which details what VO2 Max is and how it is estimated. As you scroll down, you will find descriptions for the different Cardio Fitness Levels, from Poor to Excellent. Your current level is highlighted, showing you where you stand based on your age and sex group.

Below the main graph, you can overlay other health and activity data to identify potential correlations and gain a more complete picture of your fitness. Tapping on these metrics will add a corresponding graph or chart over your VO2 Max trend. The available overlays include:

At the very bottom of the Cardio Fitness screen, you'll find a curated selection of articles that provide more context on cardiovascular health. Tap on insights like We Need to Talk About VO2 Max or The Benefits of Aerobic Exercise to learn more.

Your VO2 Max can fluctuate based on many factors. It is more meaningful to focus on the long-term trend rather than single-day measurements. A steady or upward trend over several weeks or months is a positive sign of improving cardiovascular fitness.
The Cardio Fitness screen offers a comprehensive analysis of your VO2 Max, allowing you to track long-term trends, understand your current fitness level in context, and compare your data with other metrics like heart rate and activity. This feature helps you gain a holistic view of your cardiovascular health and the factors that influence it.
